Salary: |
Starting salary is between $54,799 to $58,165 annually, depending on experience and qualifications plus excellent benefits. We also offer a $1.00 add-on in addition to the base salary. For all positions at Milwaukee, we offer a $3.00 add-on as well as some positions at Dodge. Candidates who are new to state service are eligible for a sign on bonus of up to $2500.00.
Position is in pay schedule 11-40. A six-month probationary period is required. We also offer weekend program schedules. |

Job Duties:
This position is responsible for providing skilled nursing care to offenders in both ambulatory and infirmary settings; providing patient assessment and treatment; assisting physicians in providing medical services; managing medications, providing emergency care; and maintaining medical records. In addition, the Nurse Clinician 2 is expected to participate in educational programs for staff and offenders and participate in activities to maintain her/his nursing skill level. Special Notes: The Department of Corrections will conduct criminal background checks on applicants prior to selection. |
